Freelance WordPress Developer

🚀 Join Our Team: Freelance WordPress Developer at Mozaiq

We’re looking for a Freelance WordPress developer to work with us at Mozaiq. The role involves building and maintaining websites, sometimes on short timelines, so we’d love someone who can dedicate around 20 hours per week or is freelancing full-time. This is project-based work, with opportunities to jump in on new projects from time to time.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in Web Development

  • Strong proficiency with the WordPress CMS

  • Knowledge of WordPress plugins, especially Advanced Custom Fields PRO

  • Experience in developing custom WordPress themes from scratch

  • Understanding of WordPress development concepts: Theme structure, Custom Post Types, Hooks, and Plugins

  • Solid understanding of Git, SASS, and JavaScript

  • Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS for building responsive, modern, and maintainable UI components

  • Familiarity with the principles of Responsive Web Design (RWD)

  • Experience in translating Figma designs into functional web pages

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, as all internal communications are conducted in English

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team

  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices to ensure all web development complies with search engine optimization standards

  • Experience with REST API integrations and understanding how to handle data securely in WordPress

  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for WordPress sites to improve speed and user experience
